Creative Minds Summer Sessions is a week-long kids summer art camp in Roswell, Georgia, serving families throughout East Cobb, Woodstock, Alpharetta, and the greater North Atlanta area. We champion the artist in every child and believe confidence, curiosity, and joy grow through creative exploration. 🪄

This immersive mixed-media art camp takes place inside a real working artist studio, where young artists are given dedicated studio time to explore materials, techniques, and ideas at their own pace. Students work with painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, sculpture, and 3D art, experiencing art the way real artists do—through experimentation, play, and discovery.

Creative Minds is more than a typical kids art class or craft-based camp. While some projects are teacher-guided, our focus is on student-led creativity. Children are encouraged to follow their interests, develop their own ideas, and create meaningful artwork that reflects who they are. Not every piece is meant to be “show-worthy”—we intentionally value process over product, because that’s where deep learning and authentic creativity happen. Our teaching approach is inspired by Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB), which supports independence, problem-solving, and artistic confidence.

To ensure a high-quality experience, class sizes are limited to just 10 students. This allows for plenty of one-on-one instruction, individualized guidance, and meaningful connection between teacher and students.

$250 per week— $75 deposit— balance due 2 weeks before camp

Class limit= 10. Registration is first come, first served.

Due to policy changes with our payment processor, all refunds will be deducted a 5% refund and administration fee.

YOUR TEACHER:

Hello, I’m Paula!  My passion is allowing people to free their inner artist.

I’m a professional artist and teacher with a BSEd in Art Education from The University of Georgia and an MFA from Columbia College Chicago. Galleries that represent my work are in NY, Boston, Sarasota and Marietta.

Formally, I taught art in schools and colleges for 15+ years and now through my own studio and online.

I’m also a certified Master Expressive Arts Facilitator and incorporate this philosophy into my classes.

When I’m not creating art, I'm playing with my family of 2 tween-teen boys, one dog and one cat, having adventures in the Atlanta area and surrounds.

Refund Policy:

A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your child’s spot. The remaining balance of $175 is due 2 weeks prior to the start of camp.

If cancellation occurs more than 14 days before camp, only the deposit is forfeited.

If cancellation occurs within 14 days of camp, the full tuition is non-refundable unless the spot is filled from the waitlist.
